A material instance (.mtli.nasset) signifies a material with properties attached to it that can be rendered when assigned to an object.<\/p>\n
For example, if a Material specifies a texture property, a material instance will be able to override that texture.<\/p>\n
Always prefer using the lowest number of material instances as possible.
