Robo Runner was born out of the idea to test mechanics within the engine through an obstacle course. You will find the most comprehensive collection of mechanics out of all of the samples located within the level.<\/p>\n
Not only are you tested with numerous rotating and oscillating spline objects, but also you must be aware of physical properties on object surfaces that can restrict or propel the players movement.<\/p>\n

A default character controller is supplied and spawns in the center of the map where the <\/span>Spawnpoint<\/strong><\/span> smart object is located.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The spawnpoint is located in the center of the map as a <\/span>yellow striped character<\/strong><\/span> that takes the shape of the scenes active default character that will spawn.<\/span><\/p>\n You will find in numerous objects the ability to rotate or “ping-pong” in the scene to create kinetic gameplay through the obstacle course.<\/p>\n The Path Animations can be defined as objects that oscillate between 2 points<\/strong> drawn out with a spline. In the obstacle course you will first encounter this with the hydraulic lifts.<\/p>\n Within the scene you will find rotating hearts<\/strong> that you can collect within the scene.<\/p>\n A Rigid Body can be defined as an object that has gravity applied to it. In the course you will find the stacks of donuts<\/strong> in the middle section will fall over you collide into them.<\/p>\n Throughout the scene there are Spikes<\/strong> and Rotating Corkscrews<\/strong> that can cause damage and force the player to respawn to the beginning of the level.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The respawn zone is located as a <\/span>red striped object <\/strong><\/span>in the scene that allows for respawning of the player to the initial Spawnpoint.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The following level was constructed using CC0 content located at Quaternkus and their Robot Character<\/a><\/span>\u00a0they provide.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":251212454,"featured_media":0,"parent":14635,"menu_order":0,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"sceneri-docs-tag":[],"class_list":["post-14653","sceneri-mini-docs","type-sceneri-mini-docs","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\nSpawnpoint<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
