Point Light Component

Last Updated: November 8, 20240.6 min read

Description

The Point Light component emits light in all directions from a single point, simulating localized light sources like lamps, torches, or light bulbs. The light intensity diminishes with distance, creating a natural fall-off effect.

Usage

Point lights are ideal for simulating small light sources that affect their surroundings only within a limited range. They are commonly used in indoor scenes, dungeons, or areas where you need precise lighting effects, such as illuminating a character’s path or highlighting a small object.

Key Properties

  • Color: Defines the color of the light, allowing for warm or cool light effects.
  • Range: Controls how far the light reaches before it begins to fade.
  • Intensity: Adjusts the brightness of the point light source.
