Environment Light Component

Last Updated: November 8, 20240.6 min read

Description

The Environment Light component provides global ambient lighting that simulates soft, diffused light coming from all directions. This type of light helps to fill in shadowed areas and ensures that there is no complete darkness in the environment.

Usage

Environment lighting is useful for creating soft, natural lighting in a scene without relying on direct light sources. It’s often used in outdoor environments to simulate sky light or in indoor spaces to prevent total darkness in shadowed areas.

Key Properties

  • Color: Sets the color of the ambient light (e.g., soft white, cool blue).
  • Intensity: Controls how much ambient light is applied across the scene.
  • Shadows: Optionally, you can enable or disable shadows for the ambient light effect.
